Red! What a strong color: It's associated with heat, with confidence, with courage, with happiness and love, as well as danger and sin! Many emotions (also conflicting emotions) are associated with this color.

This week, I have chosen four mixed media art samples that wonderfully & artfully incorporated this strong color. Enjoy!

Rubies - Thai Cuisine

Thai cuisine has been greatly accelerating, especially over the past few years. A lot of outside influences have contributed to the new flavors and tastes. Interestingly enough, modern kitchenware has also added to improved ideas and techniques of cooking fine Thai food. Today, good Thai food can be more creative than in the earlier years, when it was sort of two dimensional. Thai cooking evolved, according to natural influences from other countries, such as China and European countries. Thai folks enjoy a Chinese quick-frying method as well as a large choice of stir-frying entries in their kitchens.
Here are some Thai recipes for you to try...
Enjoy!!!

This month, we are focusing on the birthstone of July, Ruby.

Birthstones are gemstones that are associated with each month.

July Birthstone: Ruby

Birthstone Color: Red

Alternative Birthstone: Ruby

Ruby is the birthstone for the month of July and it is believed to symbolize everlasting love.

Main sources of Rubies: Rubies come from all over the world but good gemstones are found in Thailand, India, Madagascar, Zimbabwe, North Carolina in the U.S.

Interesting Facts: Ruby comes from the Latin word "Ruber" which means Red. Ruby has been the gem of the brave and the royal throughout the ages. It was worn by kings to give them power and to protect them from evil. Rubies also have the property to turn deeper in color, and this was believed by some to indicate danger or misfortune.
